Jackie’s passion for libraries was sparked when she began volunteering as a child for her local public library. The town was so small that they only had one librarian for both the public and school libraries, and Jackie spent many hours of her formative years in all the locations learning the ins and outs of libraries. She continued to work at the library until she completed her bachelor’s degree. She taught elementary for four years before pursuing her master’s in library science. She is excited to be working with the faculty and students of LeTourneau University and to share her love of literacy and learning.
When not working, Jackie can be found enjoying time with her husband and their two young daughters, reading, baking, and is actively involved with her church family at New Beginnings Baptist Church.
